Who We Are

MKDH is owned by Leslie Kniskern and Sandra Mettler.

We started MKDH as a hobby about 10 years ago while Leslie was in college and over the years it grew into a career that we love.  Our business model is very different from most larger companies.  We started MKDH because it let us stay home with our children and as we grew we kept that family oriented philosophy.  For us? It was given us a dedicated support staff that puts in way more than a 100% effort in the work that they do.

We now have several employees that help make MKDH such a successful company.  All of our employees are single parents, both moms and dads, who enjoy being able to do work that they love from their homes. 

Everyone puts 200% into the work they do and we believe that the reason our employees are so happy and productive is because our business model allows them to have the freedom to watch their children grow, participate in school functions and work around their family time.  None of our employees work "traditional hours". Some weeks we put in 18 hour days and some weeks we don't.

We always have someone on call so that we can return messages and help with problems that crop up before and after our official "office hours".

Introducing the force behind MKDH

  • Leslie Kniskern
    • Leslie is our owner.  She's the one you'll see and talk to the most.  She handles 90% of the web design work and 100% of our customer support and interaction
  • Sandra Mettler
    • Sandra is co-owner of MKDH.  She is responsible for billing and keeping our paperwork straight!
  • Tammy Mettler
    • Tammy coordinates our different projects between our various supporting staff members.  She helps to makes sure the project load is covered.
  • Other Support Staff
    • Our pool of support staff consists of several key members: Tom (PHP programmer), David (SQL programmer), Scott (Flash Design), and Lisa (Transcriber and Data Entry).  We have several staff members that are on call depending on projects that we accept.

MKDH is a small family owned company.  We pride ourselves in providing quality work in a timely fashion for affordable costs.

Our business model is a lot different than others large companies.  We take selective clients who understand that our employees have families and that we support that.  We're a group of moms and dads who enjoy being able to work from our home, spend time with our children and still do what we love: provide quality web and graphic design work!

Our office hours are from 8am to 6pm.  We make appointments for earlier or later times.  We have someone on call 24/7 and if you need us after hours leave us a message and we promise to call back within the hour!
